Somebody entertain me. Make me laugh, make me cry, make me forget that I have absolutely no idea what's supposed to happen next in my novel. I need a distraction.
here some cliche/good? story plots... *have someone get married/have a baby *kill someone off (and not a minor person) *introduce someone new *turn a good guy in to a bad guy *have a flash back that reveals something of importance in the present. *have a long...sea...voyage?
and since my characters so far are a nine year old boy, his mother, a crazy old man, and a couple hotel people (one of which just kinda slumped over and died), I think I'm gonna have to go with the flashback/backstory thing. Third chapters are good for that.

although the long...sea...voyage is tempting
